– What I offer: Legal advice on the European Data Protection Law (GDPR); Expert of the Council of Europe system.

– What I do: I am very interested in the legal side of the digital world and I am finishing a Ph.D.-thesis concerning the right to privacy in the International and European context, with respect to the protection of human rights while countering terrorism. During the last years, I presented already the results of my research at several courses and conferences focusing on the GDPR and the cyber security, including some publications.

– My background: I graduated in Law at the University of Genoa (Italy) and worked for two years as a lawyer trainee in different law firms in Milan, mainly dealing with criminal law, the protection of fundamental rights and cases involving new technologies. During this traineeship, I acquired basic expertise in several areas of private international law (contract law) and civil law, and I had the chance to deal with cases related to the right to be forgotten and co-issued some appeals to the Italian Privacy Authority.

Since October 2015, I am enrolled as a Ph.D.-student in International Law at the University of Milan, where I cooperate with the Chair of International Human Rights Law and International organizations. I carried out a period of study abroad as a visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law (Heidelberg) and at present I am a visiting scholar at the Institute for Information Law at the Uva (Amsterdam).
